Sports performance classes at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals are designed to help young athletes improve their overall athletic performance and reduce their risk of injury. Participants work with our experienced sports medicine professionals to develop flexibility, strength, balance, agility and core stability. We teach functional athletic movements for improving coordination and body control, always emphasizing correct technique. We start by evaluating functional abilities and strength, and adapt the latest youth-sport training methods to meet an athlete's needs and goals, whatever the sport.

The class we’re currently offering is Pilates and Yoga for Young Athletes, designed to improve core stability and posture. See details in our Pilates and Yoga for Young Athletes flyer.
