Physician assistant
Devoted father, urban farmer and retired football fanatic
Patrick Wong is a physician assistant who cares for children during brain surgery. As a senior physician assistant, he works with patients and their families throughout their neurosurgery experience, from intake to home and follow-up care, so they can heal with the certainty that all their needs will be met. He cherishes the trust he builds with his patients and their parents, and appreciates feeling confident that UCSF offers them the most advanced options for their conditions.
Wong has a bachelor's degree in neurobiology from the University of California, Irvine. He earned his master's degree in physician assistant studies at Samuel Merritt University.
In his free time, Wong likes to be with his family. He also enjoys cycling, hiking and camping. A father of two, he feels that having children of his own has helped him become a better health care provider.
