Marta Rebelo


Social worker

Marta Rebelo is a social worker who cares for pediatric patients and their families after a new diagnosis, during hospitalization and during outpatient visits. She provides emotional support, and specifically helps patients cope with a diagnosis, illness or hospitalization. In addition, she offers help with parenting and caregiver concerns as well as family advocacy.

Rebelo earned her master's degree in social work from Rutgers University. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and volunteers with a camp program of Diabetes Youth Families that allows Spanish-speaking children and their families to participate in recreational activities, learn more about diabetes and expand their support network.
