Luis A. Rodriguez

Luis A. Rodriguez is a dietitian who provides education and counseling on nutrition to children and adolescents with obesity and eating disorders. A certified nutrition support clinician, he develops specialized medical nutrition therapy for pediatric patients with conditions such as short bowel syndrome, dependence on total parenteral nutrition (in which nutrients are delivered directly into the bloodstream) or tube feeding, cystic fibrosis, eating disorders, Crohn's disease, failure to thrive, dysphagia (a problem with swallowing), liver failure and kidney failure. He is a California Children's Services provider.

Rodriguez earned a bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, completed his dietetic internship at UCSF and earned a master of public health degree at UC Berkeley School of Public Health. He is a PhD candidate in epidemiology at UCSF.
