Eric Freitag is a neuropsychologist, a psychologist specializing in the connections between brain function and mental health. He cares for children, adolescents and young adults with head injuries. He serves as co-director of the sports concussion program at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland.

Freitag earned his doctor of psychology degree from the Wright Institute and completed a neuropsychology fellowship at the Marin Neuropsychology Center.

Freitag has been a neuropsychology consultant to the Oakland Raiders football team; University of California, Berkeley; St. Mary's College; and several local high schools. He is a fellow of the American College of Professional Neuropsychology.

In his free time, Freitag raises chickens. He recently acquired four hens and is anxiously awaiting the day they produce eggs.
