Dr. Patricia Cornett is a hematologist who cares for patients with classical (noncancerous) disorders affecting the blood.

Cornett earned her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine as well as a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the Letterman Army Medical Center.

Cornett belongs to the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine. She is the associate chair for education in the UCSF Department of Medicine. She also plays a leadership role in the school's innovative Bridges Curriculum, which seeks to prepare medical students to flourish in the rapidly evolving world of medicine.
