Dr. Lauren Gannon is an internal medicine specialist and a pediatrician. She provides primary care to both adults and children, and enjoys working with her patients on making manageable lifestyle changes to improve overall health. Her areas of special interest include HIV, preventive medicine, health care disparities and international health.
Gannon earned her medical degree at Wayne State University. She completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of California, San Diego.
Before coming to UCSF, Gannon spent five years working in community health in San Diego, caring for immigrant and refugee patients from all over the world. During her time there, she also earned certification to practice HIV medicine and worked with doctors doing their residencies in a new community family medicine program.
Gannon belongs to the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Physicians.
