Amber Harris is a nurse who manages the care of children with congenital heart defects and other heart conditions. She is the nursing coordinator for several services at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, including the specialty care center that is part of California Children's Services, a state program to provide health care for patients aged 21 and younger with certain disorders; the transition clinic, which helps pediatric patients transition to adult care; and the cardiothoracic surgery program.

Harris earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Kent State University.

Harris cared for patients in the pediatric intensive care unit for eight years before transitioning to case management. She enjoys working with patients who have complex needs, and she advocates for multidisciplinary collaboration in order to provide the best possible care.

Harris enjoys spending her free time in the kitchen.
