Alina Wong is a nurse who provides bedside care for patients in the pediatric intensive care unit, as well as care for their families. She is a member of the Integrated Pediatric Pain & Palliative Care (IP3) team, which provides specialized care and symptom management to patients who have serious and life-limiting illnesses.
Wong is passionate about supporting her peers and contributing to staff education, and has a special interest in teaching palliative care to critical care nurses. She participates in local, state and national groups focused on improving pediatric pain medicine and palliative care.
Wong earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master's degree in health policy at the UCSF School of Nursing. She is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association.
In her free time, Wong enjoys hiking, glamping and backpacking with her family and friends. She dreams of one day hiking the entire Pacific Crest Trail.
