UCSF-Inspired SCID Legislation Emphasizes Need for Rapid Diagnosis and Treatment![]() ![]() In 2011, the California Legislature passed a bill to make the current pilot screening for severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) permanent for all California newborns.
