High school seniors and their parents are invited to attend the fourth annual "Go UC!" conference from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 513 Parnassus on the UCSF campus. Check-in begins at 9 a.m. for the free event.

The UCSF Center for Science Education and Outreach sponsors this annual conference designed to give students extensive information about all UC campuses including:

  • application and personal statement workshops
  • financial aid presentations in English, Spanish and Cantonese
  • transfer information
  • opportunity to speak informally with UC students and their parents
  • access to UC admissions officers, scholarship and financial aid representatives and local community-based education organizations.

The goal of the event is to encourage students to apply to University of California campuses, to choose UC if admitted and to understand transfer options if a student attends Community College for the first two years. All UC campuses will be represented: Berkeley, Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Merced, Riverside, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz. A free box lunch will be provided.

Pre-registration is required. For more information, call (415) 514-2132.
