Fundraising Gala Will Be May 4 for Ronald McDonald House

“Bubbly by the Bay,” is the theme of a May 4 fundraising auction, casino and dance for the Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco. The Saturday event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Bubble Lounge, 714 Montgomery St. in San Francisco. Tickets are $125 per person ($65 tax deductible), including food, drinks, valet parking, $25 in casino chips and a gift bag. Raffle tickets are $20 each.

Champagne and appetizers will be served from 6 to 8 p.m. At 7 p.m., an auction will begin, featuring cruises to Asia and Europe as well as a walking tour of Dordogne, France and a trip to St. Thomas. Casino games and dancing will be held from 8 to 10 p.m., followed by a raffle drawing with prizes such as a trip to Hawaii, a healthclub membership and personal trainer for one year and elegant dinners.

Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco, at 1640 Scott St., is a community-supported organization providing temporary lodging for families of seriously ill children. Families travel from throughout the country and the world to receive specialized medical care unavailable in their home communities. The house’s primary referring hospital is UCSF Children’s Hospital.

The house has 16 private bedrooms in two locations. The main facility has 10 bedrooms with a common dining area, playroom and kitchen. In addition, six bedrooms are leased in a nearby apartment complex.
