Giulia Worner

NP

Nurse practitioner

Giulia Worner is a nurse practitioner with the UCSF Connie Frank Transplant Center. She provides comprehensive, individualized care to patients as she manages the complexities of multiple-organ transplants. She enjoys ensuring a smooth recovery for newly transplanted patients as well as optimizing the long-term function of their pancreas and kidney grafts.

Worner is dedicated to supporting patients through these major changes in their health and to maintaining long-term patient relationships. She also works with patients who go through pancreatectomy (removal of the pancreas) and islet auto-transplantation (receiving islet cells from their own pancreas so their bodies can continue to produce insulin), coordinating their care before and after surgery.

Worner earned her master's degree as a family nurse practitioner from Columbia University School of Nursing, where she was recognized as an alumni scholar. She is a member of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners and International Transplant Nurses Society.
