Patrika Tsai, MD

Pediatric gastroenterologist

Dr. Patrika M. Tsai is a pediatric specialist in gastroenterology, nutrition and obesity at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. She is certified by the American Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists and has a research interest in hormonal changes that occur in childhood obesity and the effects on appetite.

She earned a medical degree at the University of Tennesee and completed a pediatrics internship and residency at Emory University in Atlanta. Through a fellowship at Harvard Medical School, she completed training in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Children's Hospital Boston and Massachusetts General Hospital. She also earned a master's degree in public health at Harvard University. She is an assistant professor of pediatrics at UCSF.
