Evidence-based doctor for medically complex children
Dr. Jennifer Albon is a pediatrician who provides primary care to children from birth through adolescence, including preventive care, urgent and sick visits, and chronic disease management. She has a special interest in providing primary care for children with special health care needs or complex conditions. She is also interested in Latino and immigrant health.
Albon earned her medical degree at UCSF. She earned a master's degree in international development studies at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, researching access to immunization in refugee populations. She completed a residency in pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
After her residency, Albon served as a primary care pediatrician for four years at Chiricahua Community Health Centers in Douglas, Arizona, an underserved area on the U.S. border with Mexico. There, she focused on projects to improve immunization rates and on primary care for children with complex health care needs.
Albon is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Outside of work, Albon enjoys spending time with her family, which includes two daughters.
