

Chief of General Pediatrics
Dr. Michael D. Cabana is chief of General Pediatrics at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital and director of the General Pediatrics Fellowship Program at UCSF. Cabana treats patients in the Pediatric Acute Care Clinic and is particularly interested in asthma and the prevention of asthma in children. His research focuses on issues regarding quality of care as well as physician prescribing and practice patterns. He is a professor of pediatrics, epidemiology and biostatistics and a member of the core faculty at the UCSF Institute for Health Policy Studies.
