Dr. Marina Tan is a pediatrician who sees patients in the Pediatrics and Acute Care clinics at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. Her focus in patient care is managing the medical, psychological, social and developmental concerns of her patients. In addition to her work with children, Tan is a certified lactation consultant who works with mothers and their newborns in the well-baby nursery to teach the proper techniques for breastfeeding.
Tan earned a medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas College of Medicine in the Philippines. She completed residencies in pediatrics at the Kakati Medical Center in the Philippines and at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital in Loma Linda, Calif. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at UCSF.
