Pulmonary Medicine

Pulmonary (lung) conditions can affect a child's breathing and sleep. UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital treats pulmonary disorders in infants, children and adolescents, such as:

Apnea and other sleep disorders
Asthma
Bronchopulmonary dysplasia — Abnormal lung development, most often found in premature infants
Cystic fibrosis — Genetic condition that also affects the digestive system
