Colette Auerswald, M.D., M.S.

Adolescent medicine specialist

Dr. Colette Auerswald is a primary care doctor in the Adolescent and Young Adult Clinic and the Adolescent Eating Disorders Clinic at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital. She also treats hospitalized patients with eating disorders and consults on the care of hospitalized adolescents. She is board certified in pediatrics and adolescent medicine.

Auerswald is a graduate of the UC Berkeley–UCSF Joint Medical Program, earning a master of science degree in health and medical sciences, with an emphasis in medical anthropology, from UC Berkeley and a medical degree from UCSF. She completed a primary care residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in adolescent medicine at UCSF. In 2001, she joined the faculty in Adolescent Medicine at UCSF, where she is a research and career mentor of medical students, pediatric residents, fellows, graduate students and junior faculty. She is a fellow and active member of the Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine and a scientific reviewer of research in numerous professional publications. She is an associate professor of pediatrics at UCSF.
