Since 1983 the Tourette's and Tic Disorders Clinic (TTDC) has provided a unique resource for patients and their families throughout the northwestern United States. The clinic provides initial evaluations, second opinions and expert consultation for patients with tic movement disorders and associated conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The clinic works to find the best treatment options to minimize disruptions to the patient, family, school and social relationships.
The clinic also educates patients and families about Tourette's syndrome and related conditions. This includes information about treatment options, medications, school interventions and available community resources.
In the clinic, neuropsychiatrists, psychologists, research personnel and trainees work together to give our patients the most complete evaluation and treatment services available. Our relationship with general pediatrics and pediatric neurology experts at UCSF allows us to draw on the expertise of these specialties when necessary.
The clinic can provide referrals to doctors in your community for continued care when appropriate. We also provide long term follow-up consultation here at the TTDC.
