

Experts in Infectious Diseases diagnose and treat children with serious infections, including infants and children in the hospital's neonatal and pediatric intensive care units. Specialists have expertise in treating infections related to cancer, bone marrow transplant and solid organ transplant as well as infectious complications from surgery.
Specialists also treat children with skin and soft tissue infections, Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), osteomyelitis, fevers of unknown origin, infections acquired during overseas travel and more.
The clinic works with San Francisco General Hospital, a UCSF-affiliated hospital, to treat children, including those with community-acquired infections and infections from developing countries.
