Adolescent Eating Disorders Clinic

The UCSF Adolescent Eating Disorders Clinic provides medical care for teens and young adults with eating disorders, while also addressing nutrition and exercise concerns and the psychological issues driving the disorder. Our treatment program was developed by UCSF nutritionists, psychiatrists and specialists in adolescent medicine after more than 30 years of treating eating disorders. Our patients range from 12 to 21 years old, with one-third between the ages of 18 to 21.

Patients at the clinic will be seen by a health care provider, nutritionist and social worker at their first visit. Together, the health care team will develop a treatment plan that includes supplementation regimens, meal planning, mental health therapy and help from community resources. Patients with severe health problems related to malnutrition will be transferred from the clinic to the hospital.

You'll need a referral from your child's pediatrician or specialist to make an appointment. Once you have the referral, please call the number below.
