Douglas N. Miniati, M.D.

Pediatric surgeon

Dr. Doug Miniati is a pediatric surgeon at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital and for the Fetal Treatment Center. He is interested in treating congenital diaphragmatic hernia and pediatric tumors.

Miniati earned a medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed two years of a general surgery residency at the University of Maryland; a three-year postdoctoral research fellowship in cardiac transplantation and his final three years of general surgery residency at Stanford University; and a pediatric surgery fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital, an affiliate of Baylor College of Medicine. At Texas Children's Hospital, he was trained in minimally invasive pediatric surgical techniques and complex neonatal and pediatric surgical disorders. He is an assistant professor of surgery at UCSF.
