

Pediatric neurologist
Dr. Yvonne Wu is a pediatric neurologist who specializes in newborn brain injuries, including cerebral palsy and perinatal stroke. She is director of the UCSF Clinical Research Program in Child Neurology. Her research seeks to bridge the gap between obstetrics, neonatology, genetics and child neurology. Wu joined UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in 1999 and cared for children with neurological disorders while attending the University of California at Berkeley to complete a master's degree in public health in epidemiology.
She earned a bachelor's degree in psychobiology at Yale University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, and earned a medical degree at Harvard University. She completed a residency in pediatrics and a post-doctoral fellowship with an emphasis in child neurology at UCSF. She is an adjunct assistant professor in Neurology and Pediatrics at UCSF.
