Alan M. Shotkin, M.D.

Neonatalogist

Dr. Alan Shotkin is the medical director of the UCSF Intensive Care Nursery at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa. Prior to joining UCSF, he was medical director of the neonatal intensive care unit at the North Central Bronx Hospital (NCBH) and supervised the High-Risk Neonatal Follow-up Clinic at NCBH and at Jacobi Medical Center.

He earned a medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and completed a residency in pediatrics at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He trained in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. He is an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at UCSF.
